Chinese club Chongqing Dangdai Lifan say they are confident about bringing in Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta this summer.
Iniesta must confirm whether he will commit to Barca or leave the club by April 30, as per the terms of his lifetime contract with the Catalans, and Chongqing’s President expressed optimism about the veteran’s arrival.
“I’m sure we can present Andres Iniesta and his arrival,” Sport quotes the patron as saying.
“He’ll be a great asset for Chongqinq and a boost for our brand.”
Chongqing are sixth in the Chinese Super League after seven games and are coached by former Portugal boss Paulo Bento.
