Roque Mesa insists he wants to extend his stay at Sevilla but admits he needs ‘assurances’ over playing time.
The former Las Palmas midfielder joined Los Rojiblancos on loan in January from Swansea City but he has made just two brief appearances in La Liga to date.
“I have no regrets about joining Sevilla and I would repeat the choice another thousand times,” Mesa told Sevilla club media.
“This was not the first time I tried to join the club as beforehand the move fell through, but they kept valuing me and now I am here.
“The fans have treated me very well, they have shown great belief in my ability and offer me plenty of encouragement, their support is a source of strength for me.
“Would I renew? Of course, if there are chances to play because I love this city, the fans and the team…but I realise I would need more assurances.”
