Zinedine Zidane praised the ‘phenomenal’ performance of Real Madrid’s makeshift back four during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Las Palmas.
“We put in a sincere performance and it wasn’t easy,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“We started the game very well and the game wasn’t easy for Las Palmas after we scored our first goal. We controlled the game.
“The second half was a bit strange, end to end and a bit crazy. We had plenty of chances to score but weren’t able to.
“Still, 0-3 is a good result and I’m happy with the three points. Our centre-backs were phenomenal throughout and Achraf’s contribution was also very good.
“Nacho? He’s not happy, he’s not comfortable. It’s behind his knee, in the ischium [hip]. I hope it’s only minor. He left the field as a precaution.”
