Hajduk Split goalkeeper Karlo Letica has played down rumours of a move to Real Madrid amid reports in the Spanish press.
Marca have reported the 21-year-old – an international youth goalkeeper with Croatia – is a target for Los Blancos to deputise for Keylor Navas.
“When I saw the front page of the newspaper and what I was being linked to, I immediately switched off my phone,” Letica said, as cited by Marca.
“Obviously links like these are a good thing for me but this is not the time to talk about this.”
Meanwhile the player’s agent Sinisa Soso did not deny the link but quelled talk of a move: “It does not matter if we had spoken to Madrid.
“Karlo is in no rush, he is playing with Hajduk and that is important for him, and his development is the most important thing right now.”
