Aspas not keen on China move

Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas has no intention of leaving the club despite interest from Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan, say reports in Spain.

The 30-year-old has a €40m release clause at the Galician club, with the Chinese club reportedly viewing him as an alternative to signing Las Palmas forward Jonathan Viera.

A report in Faro De Vigo states the Far East club have contacted the agent of the Spain international but not Celta, who are said to be unwilling to negotiate between his clause.

The striker reportedly would rather stay at the Galician club to fight for his place in Spain’s squad for the summer World Cup.

Beijing Guoan previously attempted to sign Celta striker Maxi Gomez, but the Uruguayan striker eventually opted to remain at Estadio Balaidos.
