Getafe Coach Jose Bordalas has praised the ‘astonishing’ work of his side to secure a point away to Barcelona on Sunday.
Los Azulones successfully ensured Barca failed to score in the league for the first time this season and for the first time at Camp Nou since November 2016.
“It was a massive game for us, our work in defensive positions was astonishing,”
“To keep a clean sheet against Barca is a fantastic achievement for us, we are not the biggest club and the players they have is staggering, so we deserve credit for that.
“Our game plan worked as we prevented Barca from having a shot on goal in the first half but their potential is huge and they can score at any moment.
“We could not afford any mistakes – we learned that from our first match against them, where we gave them two opportunities and lost 2-1.
“We still have a long way to go this season to match our ambitions but we want this result to give us more confidence.”
