Real Betis want to complete a deal for Cadiz defender Ivan Kecojevic in light of a long-term injury suffered to Zouhair Feddal, say reports.
The 29-year-old defender has been a rock at heart of Los Gaditanos defence – which has conceded just 14 goals in 25 league games this season.
The Montenegrin netted in Cadiz’s remarkable 5-3 Copa Del Rey win at Betis earlier this season and his height (1.90m) and presence means Betis have earmarked him as Feddal’s ideal replacement, according to Diario de Cadiz.
The Moroccan defender suffered the injury in Saturday’s 2-1 victory at home to Villarreal and is also set to miss this summer’s World Cup for his nation.
The 28-year-old has been in strong form for Los Verdiblancos this campaign, netting three times in 15 appearances after joining from Alaves this summer.
