Algerian midfielder Farid Boulaya has left Girona on loan after playing only 26 minutes for the club, it has been confirmed.
Boulaya joined the Catalan club from Bastia on a three-year deal in summer but his only appearance has been a cameo substitute appearance in the Copa Del Rey.
The midfielder, formerly of Istres and Clermont before last summer’s move to the Corsicans, is known to be versatile and has represented Algeria at Under-20 level.
He is now joining French club Metz on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy said to be included.
