Suarez: Barca heads didn’t drop

Luis Suarez hailed his Barcelona teammates for not letting their heads drop at Real Sociedad as “the best way to end the first round is to come back.”

Suarez scored his first-ever goals at Anoeta in a 4-2 win for Barca, who had gone 2-0 down in the first half and ultimately picked up their first League victory in San Sebastian for 11 years.

“We knew how to recover from a negative situation and registered another victory in the League at a ground that has always been difficult for us,” he said after the game.

“We want to keep going like this. The best way to finish the first round of a season is to come back, and our heads didn’t drop.

“They had a very good first half, pressing up and scoring their goals. Luckily we managed to cut the deficit before half-time.

“Then, in the second half, we corrected our mistakes, played with confidence and got the victory.

“I always try to help the team. The most important thing is that we keep rowing on the same boat together.”
