Spanish striker Alfredo Ortuno has joined MLS club Real Salt Lake after ending his stint at Real Valladolid late last year.
The 26-year-old has spent most of his career in Spain’s second tier and last season he netted 17 goals in 42 appearances for high-flying Cadiz, helping the club to the playoffs.
He joined Valladolid in summer after his release from parent club Las Palmas and has also enjoyed spells at Real Mallorca, Real Zaragoza, Granada and Girona.
“I’m very happy to be signing with Real Salt Lake and very excited to live in America,” Ortuno said in a statement released by Real Salt Lake.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to continue to grow as a player in a challenging environment.”
