Argentine winger Walter Montoya has officially left Sevilla to join Mexican side Cruz Azul.
A statement on Sevilla’s website confirms Montoya has passed his medical with Cruz Azul and is now their player.
The Andalusians are also reported to have recouped the €5.5m they paid Rosario Central for the 24-year-old last winter.
Montoya was brought in by Jorge Sampaoli but made just seven appearances for Sevilla.
Cruz Azul, meanwhile, recently lost Coach Paco Jemez to Las Palmas.
