Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists there is no room for complacency at the club despite an unprecedented year of success.
Los Blancos won an unprecedented five trophies in the calendar year, including La Liga and the Champions League, while Zinedine Zidane has guided his team to eight trophies since his appointment last year.
“When you always want more, there is no time for any complacency,” Perez told the club’s Christmas drinks reception on Wednesday.
“Real Madrid represents a reference point for values and success, we need to make the most of this and nobody should ever be satisfied.
“We have enjoyed one of the greatest seasons in our 115-year history: our football team has won five titles, something we have never achieved before, and two consecutive European Cups – this is historic.
“We want to continue to win and to achieve the impossible.”
