La Liga 123 side are set to appoint Ruben Baraja as Coach following the dismissal of Paco Herrera following a poor run of form, say reports.
The Asturian side are on a six-game winless run in the division, collecting only two points, in a run which has seen them slip to 10th and five points off the playoff places.
Former Valencia midfielder Baraja was manager of Rayo Vallecano last season for three months but was dismissed after winning just four of his 13 matches in charge.
Herrera has been dismissed after the weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Barcelona B and Baraja’s debut in the dugout is set to come against Tenerife on Sunday.
