Barcelona: Masche out, Mina in?

Barcelona will attempt to bring forward the signing of Yerry Mina to January as fears grow about Javier Mascherano’s early exit, say reports in Spain.

The Catalan giants have agreed a deal to bring in the Colombian international from Brazilian club Palmeiras next summer, but will now look to advance this to next month.

El Mundo Deportivo’s front page on Tuesday leads with the story in which they say the Blaugrana are willing to pay more than the previously agreed €9m for the 23-year-old.

Barca are reportedly reluctantly accepting the fact Mascherano – under contract until June 2019 – wishes to leave the Camp Nou and an exit could be sanctioned in January.

Mina moved to Palmeiras from Sante Fe last year and won the Brazilian League in his first season, while making its Team of the Year.

He also has nine caps for Colombia, scoring three goals.
