Gareth Bale could miss Real Madrid’s trip to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday after reportedly suffering a fresh calf problem on Tuesday night.
According to Marca, Bale “didn’t finish the match against Fuenlabrada with good feelings in his calf”, forcing him to miss training the following morning.
Subsquently, the newspaper believes he will not be risked for the clash “of maximum demands” with Athletic, although it stresses the issue is ‘minor’ and not another injury.
Furthermore, the idea would be for the forward to get some minutes under his belt against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions Leaue midweek.
Bale impressed on his comeback during the 2-2 draw with third-tier Fuenlabrada, assisting one Borja Mayoral goal with the outside of his boot and helping him score another.
