Barca to raid RB Leipzig?

Barcelona have stepped up their interest in RB Leipzig duo Dayot Upamecano and Timo Werner, according to reports in Spain.

The Catalan club’s sporting director Robert Fernandez was in attendance to watch the pair in the recent 2-0 Bundesliga defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.

He was analysing the performance of defender Upamecano and Germany international striker Werner, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana have reportedly earmarked the two as long-term replacement for Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez, who have both passed their 30th birthdays.

19-year-old Upamecano, a French youth international, is highly-rated in Leipzig, where he has made 15 appearances while Werner is also said to have been tracked by Real Madrid.
