Borges double in Depor win

Deportivo La Coruna boss Cristobal Parralo won his first match in La Liga as his side came from behind to triumph 3-1 at Las Palmas.

Los Amarillos had defeated the Galicians 4-1 in the Copa del Rey last week, and former Chelsea striker Loic Remy handed them an early lead at Gran Canaria.

Indeed, the French striker fired Jonathan Viera's pinpoint delivery beyond goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon in just the seventh minute.

However, Celso Borges netted either side of the break to turn the match on its head; Fede Cartabia setting up the Costa Rican nine minutes before half-time, before he doubled his tally with a close-range finish from a Lucas Perez assist.

The Arsenal loanee then got himself on the scoresheet as he converted a penalty for his fourth goal in five games.

The result was a sixth straight defeat for Las Palmas, whose Coach Pako Ayesteran set a new League record of 11 consecutive losses across his spells with them and Valencia.
