Nacho: Whistles make it tough

Nacho Fernandez has admitted it’s tough to train ‘with a background of whistles’ with Spain but he feels more committed to the team than ever.

The Real Madrid defender has amassed ten caps for the national team and admitted he has the same strength of feeling for Spain as he does for his club side.

“It is not nice at all to train and play with a background of whistles,” Nacho told Radio Marca.

“I’m a huge fan of Real Madrid and also of Spain so regardless of whether my club or national team win, I celebrate it equally, as a Madridista.

“I love to play in front of the Madrid crowd at the Bernabeu and in front of Spain fans, for me it is one and the same.

“My renewal with Real Madrid? It is certain that I will remain here, I want to retire in a Real Madrid top!”
