Sevilla forward Luis Muriel is targeting a Champions League ‘group defining win’ at home to Slovenian outfit Maribor on Tuesday.
The Andalucians kicked off their campaign with a 2-2 draw at Liverpool while Russian team Spartak Moscow complete the group.
“A win would leave us in a very strong position in the group,” Muriel is quoted as saying by Estadio Deportivo.
“It’s crucial and it would be a group defining win – we need to build on a promising opening day result (2-2 at Liverpool) to continue on our path.
“At Atletico the goal changed all our plans and our mentality, following on from that it became more difficult to find spaces and create chances for a goal.”
