Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has announced Isco’s contract renewal is a ‘done deal’ but hinted at a future move for Gareth Bale.
25-year-old Isco’s contract at the Bernabeu expires in June 2018 but said earlier this week he wished to stay at the club ‘for many years’ while Bale’s future was once again under scrutiny this summer.
“Isco joined us when he was really young and, as expected, he has improved a lot since,” Perez explained on Cadena Ser.
“He is currently playing as we thought he would turn out and we will be announcing his contract renewal in the coming days – this is a done deal.
“Gareth Bale? He is one of our best players and we are very pleased with him.
“There were no offers for him and what Mourinho said in relation to him was just said in a complimentary way.
“Every player is transferable right now and we'll see what happens in a year, although I don't know what'll happen next year, just as nobody does.”
