Despite the transfer window being closed, Atletico Madrid are set to finalise a future deal for Racing Club striker Lautaro Martinez.
The Argentina Under-20 international was reported to have a €9m release clause in his contract but fresh reports suggest a deal has been struck at €15m as a show of good faith from Los Rojiblancos.
“Next week Atletico are coming to Argentina to finalise the deal,” the Racing Club Victor Blanco president told TyC Sports.
“We are optimistic that Martinez will stay here for one more year, but let's see how it can be a good deal for Lautaro and both clubs.”
Martinez broke into the Argentine club’s first team last season and netted nine goals in 23 appearances.
