Espanyol have officially brought back Rubin Kazan defender Sergio Sanchez on a season-long loan.
The move marks a return to Espanyol for Sanchez, who began his career with Los Periquitos and made 48 appearances in their first team between 2005 and 2009.
The 31-year-old also played for Sevilla, Malaga and Panathinaikos, before following Javi Gracia and several other Spaniards to Rubin last year.
He is Espanyol’s ninth and final signing of the summer and the third to rejoin the club after Didac Vila and Sergio Garcia.
