Zozulya agrees Betis departure

Ukrainian striker Roman Zozulya has agreed to terminate his deal at Real Betis and become a free agent, say reports in Spain.

ABC de Sevilla say the player and club have come to a mutual agreement to leave the club, a year after arriving from Dnipro.

The 27-year-old made only six appearances for Los Verdiblancos and failed to find the net before a short-lived and controversial loan to Rayo Vallecano.

Fans of Rayo rejected the striker due to his alleged political stance in his native country and the contract was terminated, meaning he could not play football for four months.

Betis are also hopeful of agreeing an exit for French midfielder Didier Digard, and will reportedly use the freed up wages to finance a move for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.
