Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke remains hopeful on his club re-signing Diego Costa and admitted ‘we all want’ the Chelsea striker.
The Spain international has not yet returned to training at Stamford Bridge after being told he could leave the English champions by Antonio Conte, but his requested move to Atleti has not yet materialised.
“We all want Diego Costa to come, but the situation is complicated,” Koke, 25, told Cadena Ser.
“If Diego comes, he will help us and he already knows a lot of us at the club so for us it would be very exciting.
“The team learned our lesson from the opening day; we must not start slowly and be on our game right from the start.”
Los Rojiblancos have already signed Sevilla winger Vitolo this summer but are not able to register new players until January 2018 due to a FIFA imposed transfer ban.
