Sevilla Coach Eduardo Berizzo has praised his side’s ability to win ‘without playing well’ following Sunday’s 1-0 victory at Getafe.
Paulo Ganso’s flicked finish seven minutes from time gave Los Rojiblancos their first victory of the season against the newly-promoted side, who were the better side throughout the encounter.
“We won without playing well, which is important too,” Berizzo is quoted as saying by Sevilla’s website.
“Our defense had to find an answer to their attacks and then we waited patiently for our opportunity.
“In the first half we lost the ball dangerously which gave us work to do.
“Then in the second we worked better, both defending and going forward as well, which fortunately allowed us to pick up the three points.”
