Real Betis could make a late move to gazump Deportivo La Coruna to the signing of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, say reports in Spain.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Los Verdiblancos are hopeful of bringing in a striker to their squad while the Spain international is hopeful of exiting the Emirates Stadium this month.
Depor reportedly had a €12m bid knocked back by Arsenal for the 28-year-old less week, less than a year after selling him for just shy of €21m.
The former PAOK striker has repeatedly stated his desire to leave the North London club and return to the Riazor, but there are concern the Galician club cannot finance such a deal.
Betis have recently allowed German Pezzella to join Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy after one year, and are reportedly hopeful of a similar proposal to Arsenal.
