Javi Garcia agrees Betis move – report

Real Betis have agreed terms with Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Javi Garcia, beating Malaga to the deal, according to reports in Spain.

Marca verifies a report in ABC de Sevilla which reports the 30-year-old has given his word to the Seville-based club that he will join them imminently, signing a four-year contract.

Zenit boss Roberto Mancini reportedly told the former Benfica and Manchester City midfielder he could leave the Russian giants when they signed Emanuel Mammana – who officially arrived on Monday.

Garcia made 107 appearances for Zenit since joining from City in 2014 and would become the eighth summer arrival at Betis, with a deal for Montpellier’s Ryad Boudebouz also said to be close.
