Betis are set to make their seventh signing of the summer transfer window with Alaves central defender Zouhair Feddal due to take a medical at the club.
According to ABC de Sevilla, the Moroccan will arrive in Seville on Monday to complete his move after his €3m release clause was activated to finalise a deal.
Reports had linked English club Southampton to the central defender: the 28-year-old was one of Saints Coach Mauricio Pellegrino’s first signings at the Basque club when he signed a three-year deal from Levante.
The former Parma and Palermo defender made 33 appearances across all competitions in his debut season, helping the club to a top half league finish and the Copa Del Rey final.
Capped 13 times by Morocco, Feddal is also known to be capable of playing left-back and as a holding midfielder.
