Espanyol have completed the permanent signing of Leo Baptistao from Atletico Madrid, having previously owned 50% of the striker’s rights.
The 24-year-old joined the Catalan club in a permanent transfer last July but paid only €3.5m for half of the transfer, which has now been completed in full.
The Brazilian forward netted six times in 16 La Liga starts for Espanyol last season having previously enjoyed loan spells at Betis, Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal.
The release clause for the forward will remain at €27m, the club have confirmed.
