Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez is reportedly in Merseyside to finalise a move to Everton despite previous reports that he had passed an Atletico Madrid medical.
A report in Marca on Saturday claimed the 21-year-old had left La Rojita’s training camp to complete his medical with Los Rojiblancos but fresh reports on Sunday suggest that was not the case and he is on the verge of a move to Goodison Park.
The Guardian states that both he and Ajax captain Davy Klaasen are set to become Ronald Koeman’s first summer signings, with both in Liverpool to complete their deals.
The former Barcelona forward has a €6m release clause in his contract at La Rosaleda – with Coach Michel previously admitting this made him ‘a bargain’ – and he now looks set to leave the Costa del Sol club.
Sandro netted 14 times in 28 La Liga starts last campaign having previously been on the fringes at the Camp Nou.
