Zidane: Malaga most difficult

Zinedine Zidane has warned Real Madrid that Malaga pose “the most difficult match possible” for the La Liga title on Sunday.

Madrid only need to avoid defeat to Malaga in order to win their first League crown in five years, but despite many tipping the Andalusians to be below their usual levels, Zidane insists his side will find it “difficult’ against a team in “phenomenal” form.

“Last final for the League? We’re relying on ourselves, that’s important, and we know we have one game still to play,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We’ve been working as we’ve wanted, we’re very well physically and as always we’ll try to do our best to win the game.

“Michel? I’m only looking at what we have to do, I’m not looking at the rival or anyone.

“We’re going to have a difficult match against a team that have been doing phenomenally lately. I’m more interested in what we’re going to do.

“We know the difficulty of winning a League, it’s very hard because there are 38 matches and it’s not easy.

“You have to show every day that you want to win the League, we’ve been working very hard, we deserve what we’re getting, we’re top and we have to finish what we’ve been doing.

“It’ll be the most difficult match possible, we had difficulties against Sevilla and Celta, but with a lot of concentration, things can be achieved.

“La Liga more difficult than the Champions League? Both are very complicated, but the League is the day to day, it’s your daily work.

“The League is a bit more complicated in the sense that it’s what everyone wants, but the two are just as complicated.

“Draw? We’re not going to change anything, the idea is to get out, give 100 percent and win as always because those things are in this team’s DNA.

“After that, we’ll see what happens. We’re thinking about going out and winning.

“Madrid against the world? I don’t know if it’s everyone, but certainly many people don’t want Madrid to win. It’s always been that way and it’ll continue, but nothing happens.

“We know we have to win on the pitch, we won’t drop our arms.

“Managing the squad: I think that’s the most important thing, that all the players have contributed.

“Like I said on my first day, this squad is spectacular and the key is that everyone has felt that they are important.

“Those who have played less have done just as well as the rest. When you have 60 games a season, it’s physically complicated, our spirits are high and we’re feeling bloody great!

“It’s they who have believed, we’ve all worked hard, but the players, for what they’ve done, is fantastic.

“Every time they’ve played, they’ve made an impact on the pitch and that’s the best thing.

“My contribution to the League? I haven’t won it yet, we still have a game remaining and we’ll try to do our best to win tomorrow’s game. I’m only focusing on what we have to do tomorrow.

“Taking stock of the season? I’m only thinking about the game tomorrow, [taking stock] is done at the end of the season and everyone will do it: you, the club, the players, but now I won’t go beyond this game, really.

“Madrid fair champions? “There are many teams that deserve the League, we’ll see after this game.

“We’ve worked very well because we’re in a final for the League and Champions League, so our work has been good, but we haven’t won anything.

“Malaga? It’s going to be very complicated against them, they’re a very good team and it’s going to be complicated, even more so than in Vigo.

“The last three games have been complicated, we told the players that they would be complicated.

“Ronaldo’s good form? What can I say? He’s doing phenomenally, he’s hit a very sweet run of form and feeling very well, like the whole squad. We’re going to give our all in the last two games.

“Pepe and Coentrao? Everyone will travel, they’re all important, we have two games left and they’ll all be [involved].

“Emotions? We would’ve liked to win the League sooner, but it’ll be very nice to win this title.

“We’re going to give everything, all the motivation we have, and we won’t give up until the last second.”
