Eibar midfielder Adrian Gonzalez is set to announce on Thursday he is leaving the club, with La Liga rivals Malaga his reported destination.
Cope Malaga report the Costa del Sol side, who are currently managed by the 28-year-old’s dad Michel, are favourites to land the former Spanish youth international.
Marca state the deal to take the midfielder to La Rosaleda was agreed before Michel’s appointment in March and followed Adrian rejecting two separate contract offers from the Basque side.
The former Getafe, Rayo Vallecano and Elche midfielder has netted nine times in 31 appearances and his performances between November and February have been particularly lauded.
Marca’s report concludes the Andalucians have agreed a deal with Adrian until 2020.
