Eibar midfielder Adrian Gonzalez believes Real Madrid’s mixed form and the home advantage of Ipurua means it’s the best time to play Los Blancos.
Madrid go to the Basque Country on the back of a 3-2 reverse at Sevilla, 4-0 defeat against Barcelona and a 4-3 win over Shakhtar Donetsk, the Ukrainians coming from four goals down.
“It’s true they’re not in the best form and we know it’s difficult to play here, and this year, we’re doing things right,” Adrian, former Madrid B team player and son of Merengues legend Michel, said, AS reports.
“Perhaps it’s the best time to play them because things aren’t working out so well for them.
“It’s difficult for anyone to play at Ipurua and we’re in a very positive mood since we are doing well and we have the confidence to do something good.”
