Andres Iniesta has described the Spanish national team as ‘being a family’ despite the squad comprising of stars of many rival club sides.
Speaking ahead of La Roja’s clash with Israel on Friday night, the Barcelona maestro described how despite club differences the players came together on international duty to find their best form.
“There’s the commitment of being a team, being a family,” Iniesta told his pre-match press conference.
“We may be from different teams but we are all here to fight for the same goals. When that commitment and respect exist and when we work hard, our goals are more easily reached.
“During the last ten years we have reached the top and we will try again in the present and in the future to return back to that level.”
