Real Madrid have not made contact with AS Monaco for the transfer of 18-year-old striker Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Cope’s El Partidazo show stated that English giants Manchester United are the only club to have made any official contact over the highly-rated teenage striker, despite reports in the Spanish press that Madrid were ‘prioritising’ his transfer this summer.
Mbappe, a childhood fan of Madrid, previously revealed he turned down the chance to move to the Bernabeu in 2013 and has netted 19 times in 32 appearances for Monaco this campaign.
United reportedly tabled an initial bid of €80m for the striker last month but are said to have increased it to €110m after meeting with the Ligue 1 club after their 5-3 loss against Manchester rivals City in last month’s Champions League meeting at the Etihad, with both clubs knocked back with the club having no desire to sell.
