Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann admits he is open to joining Barcelona or Real Madrid one day. “It’d be a dream…”
Speaking to L’Equipe on Monday, Griezmann also revealed he was an admirer of Bayern Munich and English teams but hinted the lack of sunny weather in those countries would ultimately put him off.
“Barca or Madrid? Why not? It’d be a dream to play for the biggest clubs and those two are on that footing, just like Bayern and the English teams,” he told L’Equipe.
“It’s been a dream of mine since I was a child, but right now I don’t see myself at Barca or Madrid.
“Neither do I see myself outside [Spain]… I’m in Spain, where there’s a lot of sun. This helps, I need it to be happy in my personal life and to be able to play well.
“Barca’s comeback against PSG? I love football for this kind of thing. No-one had ever done it.
“It was outstanding. PSG also helped Barca in one or two of their goals. Scoring six goals wasn’t the referee's fault.”
A report in Tuesday’s Mundo Deportivo claims Barca are targeting the Frenchman and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala for next season as they look to sign another elite attacker to complement Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
