Barcelona’s technical secretary Robert Fernandez has backed Gerard Pique’s suggestions that title rivals Real Madrid are favoured by officials.
The 30-year-old defender took to twitter on Sunday evening after Madrid’s 3-2 comeback win at Villarreal and took screenshot’s of decisions which appeared to favour Zinedine Zidane’s side throughout the course of this season.
"I'm saying this is reality whether people like it or not; it's the truth," Fernandez is quoted as saying by Marca.
"And Gerard tells the truth."
Both Catalan newspapers El Mundo Deportivo and Sport have also come to the defence of Pique, with Mundo Deportivo suggesting Barca would be twelve points clear at the top had refereeing decisions all season been correctly given.
