Valencia Coach Voro has called on his side to show more consistency and return to winning ways in a ‘vital’ match against Leganes on Tuesday.

Los Che pulled off a shock 2-1 victory over Real Madrid last Wednesday but followed it up with a disappointing loss at Alaves, despite taking the lead with less than twenty minutes remaining.

“Against Leganes there are three vital points at stake, they are a direct rival and it’s important we return to winning,” Voro told his pre-match press conference.

“Leganes have strengthened well and are in good form – you could see that in an unlucky defeat to Barcelona before a big victory on Saturday against Deportivo, so it will be extremely tough.

“This game is fundamental for us, to beat Madrid was fantastic but we could not follow that up with a good performance against Alaves, so we must correct this again.

“Our progression in recent weeks has been significant but we can only look at the situation one game at a time and ensure we win enough points to be in a strong position.”

Five points separate 16th-placed Leganes from Valencia, who sit 13th in the standings.
