Andres Iniesta insists everyone at Barcelona is behind Luis Enrique after Sunday’s 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Lionel Messi’s late goal finished off Atleti to provisionally leave Barca top of the table, and Iniesta took the opportunity after the game to clarify that “we’re all in the same boat” at Camp Nou.
“We’re all in the same boat and we have the same interests,” asserted the midfielder.
“The Coach is with us and we’re with him. When we win, we all win, and if we lose, it’s the responsibility of everyone.
“The turf being dry? It was the case for both teams. In the end, you adapt to what you’re given, nothing else.
“When you lag behind [in the table], you have to keep picking up three points and make it clear to the team out in front that you’re still there.
“We have to be very happy, you always suffer here [at the Calderon] and these players are in great shape.
“Playing in the Champions League a few days ago will have taken its toll on them, but they had a great first half. After that, the tiredness made them lower their level a bit.”
