Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has moved to reassure the club’s fans that star striker Antoine Griezmann won’t be leaving the club.
Cerezo said the French forward – who has been heavily linked with a move to English giants Manchester United – is ‘delighted’ with his current club which would make it ‘very difficult’ for him to leave the Calderon in the summer.
"Antoine is fantastic and the truth is that he is delighted to be at Atletico,” Cerezo told Cadena Ser.
"It's very difficult for our players to leave because they love life here. The only thing that I can say is that Griezmann has a contract with us.
"The day that there is something important, that there are possibilities [for him to leave], I will be the first to announce it, but in the meantime there is no chance."
