Zinedine Zidane believes ‘it is no exaggeration’ to say Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest ever player in the history of Real Madrid.
The Portugal captain has scored a remarkable 376 goals in 366 appearances for Los Blancos and won a fourth Ballon d’Or award earlier this week, while at Madrid he has won La Liga, two Champions League titles, the Club World Cup, two Copa del Reys, the UEFA Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup.
"Any other player could come to Madrid and he's never going to achieve what Cristiano has achieved," Zidane told reporters ahead of his side’ Club World Cup semi final against Club America.
"It's no exaggeration to say that he's the best player in the history of Real Madrid.
"And the four Ballon d'Ors? Bravo. I think he can win it again."
The 31-year-old will lead Madrid’s attack in the semi final and if he finds the net it will be the last competition in which he has played yet has not scored.
