Jose Callejon has vowed that Spain’s wingers “are all trying to seize our opportunities”, amidst Julen Lopetegui’s continued show of faith in them.
Callejon, Lucas Vazquez and Vitolo all earned second, successive Spain call-ups for games against Macedonia and England, and the Napoli attacker is a fan of Lopetegui’s desire for more width.
“This has been one of my best seasons, I’m very happy, I hope to continue at this level and keep being called up by Spain,” he said at a Press conference alongside Dani Carvajal.
“There’s now purer wide men like in my case, or that of Lucas Vazquez and Vitolo. We’re all trying to seize our opportunities.
“The biggest highlight of Lopetegui’s reign so far has been how he prepares us tactically for the game. It’s one of his strengths.
“England? We’re thrilled about the game. Wembley is a mythical stadium, and it’ll be against a great team. We’re really up for it.”
