Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco has renewed his contract at the club until 2022, it has been confirmed.
The Belgian’s previous deal at the club had been set to expire in 2020 and had a release clause of €40m but he had recently been linked to a number of other clubs, including Chelsea.
His new deal is set to raise his release clause at Los Rojiblancos, where he has scored five goals in eleven appearances this season.
“I am very happy to continue here at Atletico for many more years,” read a statement from the 23-year-old.
Carrasco joined Diego Simeone’s side from Monaco in 2015.
