Frank Ribery has poured cold water on claims that fellow Frenchman Antoine Griezmann is a world class player, insisting he needs more time.
The Bayern Munich winger, who has been riddled with injuries for the past two seasons after retiring from the French international setup in 2014, has said that only when players have been playing consistently at that level for a decade do they become elite.
"He's not a world-class player yet, because he still hasn't repeated his level of performance consistently over time,” explained the 33-year-old in Sport Bild.
"You can congratulate him when he has played at that level for 10, 12, 15 years, but for now he is not a world class player yet.”
