Osasuna boss taken to hospital

Osasuna boss Enrique Martin was taken to hospital after his side’s 2-2 draw with Las Palmas after he felt chest pains midway through the match.

Martin was forced to leave his dugout and head for the dressing room moments after Roberto Torres gave Osasuna in the sixth minute.

Marca reports the Coach gestured that he felt a sharp pain in his chest, at which point he was evaluated the club’s medical staff.

One of Martin’s coaches then returned from the dressing room to give a reassuring thumbs-up to his fellow technical staff and the players.

The 60-year-old was taken to University of Navarra Hospital after the game to undergo tests, where Osasuna’s official website states he was diagnosed with “hypertensive emergency”.

The new boys went 2-0 up via Sergio Leon just before the hour, until Vicente Gomez and a last-gasp David Garcia effort rescued Las Palmas a point.
