Jemez: We have firepower to win

Paco Jemez insists his side have the attacking qualities to pick up their first three points of the season away to Alaves on Monday night.

Granada have scored six goals in their opening five games but only have won two points while Alaves have only lost once in an impressive start to life back in the top flight.

“I believe we have sufficient firepower to create problems for Alaves,” said the former Rayo coach ahead of the game.

“Our mobility and moving their players around is the idea, creating situations with our talent, trying to look at every option we have to open up their defence, which is doing very well and will be difficult, but with persistence and by doing things the right way.

“They defend with lots of players, including a defensive line of five in some games they've played. There's also another statistic, which we hope will remain the same, which is that they're one of the teams who've had the fewest shots on goal. That balance is paying dividends and getting them results, which keep them in a relatively tranquil situation.

"Everyone wants to get this first win, which would give us a little calm and would put us into a better situation. However, we mustn't be anxious.”
