Gareth Bale has reportedly renewed his Real Madrid contract for a further five years and becomes the club’s second-best paid player behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
Marca claims the agreement has been settled between Los Blancos and the Wales international and only Euro 2016 winner Ronaldo is above Bale in the wage stakes.
Ronaldo will also soon be tied to Santiago Bernabeu for five years and it’s suggested Madrid wanted continuity with the long-term futures of their two most important attacking players settled.
Bale will be paid €10m-per-season, the same as Sergio Ramos, a raise on the terms of his previous deal.
