Alvaro Morata has described his time at Juventus as “two long years” after his Real Madrid return was finally publicised on Monday.
Morata’s presentation as a Madrid player took place on Monday, some two months after Los Blancos exercised their €30m buyback clause for the former Juve striker.
“It’s a joyous day for me,” he began.
“I’m back home, it’s been two long years and a long wait for my return.
“There are times when you need to mature. I’ve come to give up my life [for Madrid], as I’ve always done.”
President Florentino Perez added: “We can count on one of the best strikers in the world, who’s known this club since he was a child.
“He’s become one of the best. He’s returned home and earned it with his talent and ability to sacrifice himself.”
