Real Madrid are waiting for Moussa Sissoko to ask to leave Newcastle United before making an offer, reports say.
AS believes the France international is Los Blancos’ most likely signing in midfield after Marco Verratti indicated he wants to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, and with Nemanja Matic appearing closer to Juventus, though it’s noted there isn’t a lot of movement on that front so far.
Reports in England claim a Madrid offer will come for Sissoko by the end of the week but Madrid would like Sissoko to formally ask to leave the Magpies before making an approach.
It’s noted that Newcastle and manager Rafa Benitez have been expecting Sissoko to push to leave since the club was relegated last season, as he wants a better contract at a club with greater aspirations.
