Schalke have announced the signing of right-back Coke from Sevilla for a reported €5m.
A statement on Schalke’s official website confirmed Coke would complete his transfer on Monday after he passed a medical 24 hours earlier.
The 29-year-old joined Sevilla from Rayo Vallecano in 2011, becoming captain three years later, and played in all three of Los Nervionenses’ victorious Europa League finals.
However, he fell behind Mariano in the Andalusians’ pecking order last season and was considered expendable by new boss Jorge Sampaoli
